Father’s Day is almost here! Do you have a present for your dad yet? My dad is extremely difficult to buy for. He doesn’t need anything and when I buy him things that I think that he will want, he doesn’t use. For years, I would buy my dad presents for all sorts of holidays (Father’s Day, Christmas, etc) and he would unwrap the present but never open it. Complete fail. My dad received a (much needed) new wardrobe from me and my siblings years ago and everything we bought him is still sitting in his bedroom – with the tags attached. Last year, I found him a great deal on a tablet. It was more than I usually spend but knew it was worth it, if my dad would actually use it. My dad unwrapped the gift and guess what? He actually opened it on the spot and played with it! All these years, I was buying things my dad didn’t want which is why he never touched our presents and I have finally found what he really loves – electronics.
I now love shopping for my dad because, let’s be real, who doesn’t love shopping for electronics? This year, I’ve gathered some of the top that I know your dad will love!
Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Blue ($49.99)
Listen to music from your compatible Bluetooth-enabled device with this Modal MD-SPBT01-BU portable speaker that enables on-the-go wireless audio playback. A speakerphone function lets you enjoy hands-free calling. I absolutely love my portable speaker. It’s great for your home or office. I love that this Modal has hands free calling!
Cobra – 16-Mile 22-Channel FRS/GMRS 2-Way Radio ($28.99)
Keep in touch at a distance of up to 16 miles with these Cobra CXT145 22-channel FRS/GMRS 2-way radios, which feature call alert to notify you of incoming calls and battery-saver circuitry for extended use. These are at such a great price point that you could even buy a pair for yourself! I have a set at my house that is perfect for my fiance and I. We work on opposite sides of the house so we use a 2 way radio to communicate. Call it lazy if you want, but it works!
Protocol – TigerJet 3-Channel Remote-Controlled Helicopter ($39.99)
Grown men love toys, so why not add a helicopter to his collection. This is always a great gift because, no matter what age, they will love this gift. You are giving them an opportunity to play around and have fun without any worries. This helicopter features flashing multicolor LED lights for a realistic look and gyroscopic stabilizer technology for precise omnidirectional flight. The 3-channel IR remote allows for easy control and hours of fun.
Philips Norelco – Electric Razor ($29.99)
Men love pampering just as much as women do, so why not get him a nice electric razor that will last for years? Feel smooth and clean with the help of this Philips Norelco 6948XL/41 electric razor that features CloseCut heads for a close shave. The pop-up trimmer allows for them to easily groom their mustache or sideburns.
Roku – Streaming Stick HDMI Version ($49.99)
Enjoy more than 1,000 channels of streaming content with this Roku 3500R streaming stick, which is compatible with most TVs with an HDMI input and supports 1080p signals for crystal clarity. The 1-stop search helps you easily locate your favorite media. We barely ever watch regular TV anymore, everything is usually streamed through Netflix or Hulu. Why pay outrageous fees when you can pay one low price for a Roku and stream movies? I would suggest this for not only your dad, but you too! Your life will be changed.
