Shopping for a gift for a boy over 5 can be challenging. At this age, boys are starting to develop their own unique personalities and preferences. From action figures to puzzles and games, we’ve got gifts that will keep boys entertained for hours on end.
Treasure X Skull Island
Treasure X Skull Island is a line of collectible playsets that offer the chance to find real gold dipped treasure. Although these toys are micro sized toys, they offer mega adventures. Kids are able to use their imagination and discover a whole new world of play in Treasure X Lost Lands. Treasure X offers many different play sets that you can play together or by themselves.
The boys loved playing the Treasure X Lost Land Skull Island Frost Tower Micro Playset. They discovered 2 Micro Sized Figures, Mammoth & Axemen and revealed the temple’s hidden secrets whilst dodging its traps in the hunt for Real Gold Dipped Treasure! This playset is great for small hands and big adventures. I personally love Treasure X Skull Island because it makes the boys use their brain in a different way when they are trying to figure out the secret traps, hidden passages and how to get the mini figurines to the next level.

Legends of Akedo Battle
Legends of Akedo Battle Figs are mini battle action figures that you can play against each other in a friendly battle. Included inside the Beast Strike Single Player Pack is one Mini Battling Warrior and Battle Controller. Players can level up their skill, strategy and battle abilities as they play with their friends with these action packed mini battling warriors.
Legends of Akedo Battle Figurines are ruling our house right now. There are over 25 battling figures to collect. I love that there is such a large assortment so I can buy a variety for each of my sons to play with together. These would make great stocking stuffers for the upcoming holiday season. My boys love to battle each other, trade out figurines and see who can win the most.
Doo Doo Kangaroo
My kids are obsessed with these types of games. Why kids love poop games and potty jokes are beside me but they cannot control their excitement with this game. Doo Doo Kangaroo game is simple. You spin the wheel and feed the kangaraoo the number of strawberry donuts you land on. Once the kangaroo is fed, you flush the toilet. After enough flushes, it’s “go time” for the kangaroo. You know what that means? It’s time for the kangaroo to empty his stomach. He’ll start to shake and shimmy all around the table causing donuts or doo-doos to fall out of his toilet! Race to pick up the donuts and place them on your plate but don’t pick up the doo-doo.
This kooky game is one of my kid’s favorites. I love to watch them play because it’s full of belly laughs and the perfect amount of competition. They lose their minds every single time the Kangaroo goes doo do and it’s the best. This is a great game for all ages and up to 4 players.
Flipside Handheld Electronic Game
Flipside is on the top of my list of games for my oldest son. I love these handheld games that can easily be taken with us on the go, used in the car, and played with at a restaurant, etc. The four squares at the center will light up with different colors to be matched with the two-square panels on either side. Flip the panels to find the right color and slide them to line them up.
These gifts are easy on the wallet, can be found easily and something that all boys will enjoy. My kids have loved these toys and I know yours will too.
