With a new baby on the way, our house has been completely transformed. All the house projects that we’ve put off have been completed. The once junk room has become a sports themed nursery and everything has seemed to find a place.
I’ve purged a lot of electronics, junk and items that we don’t need but have added a couple things to make our house work more seamless. One of our projects was to make our front sitting room functional. We’ve had media seats in the front room that didn’t quite fit right and we have all of our gaming systems set up in there including an X-box, Wii U and Sega games. That room was only used when our nieces and nephews were over but with the little one coming we wanted to make it functional and safe for a baby.
The first thing we did was take out the media seats and replaced if with a couch, love seat and ottoman. We also through out the rug in there and bought one that covers the whole room and is extra fluffy since we’ll probably be on the ground a lot. Our TV in the front room was a flat screen but it was probably 8 years old and needed to be replaced. Lines were starting to form on the screen and it was so heavy! It wasn’t safe to have sitting on a tv stand and hanging it on the wall was nearly impossible because it was so thick. We found a great deal on TVs at Best Buy so we replaced it with a thin curved 55″ Samsung that will hang nicely on the wall away from any children.
In the nursery, we hung a 32″ tv on the wall. Since we do not have cable hooked up in that room we added Google Chromecast Audio that will allow us to play lullabies and our favorite music in there. The Google Chromecast Audio allows us to play music wirelessly from our phone, tablet or computer. It uses WiFi instead of Bluetooth, you can stream crystal clear hi res sound.
We also added a chromecast to our front room so we can play the same music throughout the whole entire house seamlessly by grouping Chromecast Audio devices together so you can listen to the same song on multiple speakers. It’s a total game changer.
As you can tell my miniature schnauzer is ready to meet the baby and so are we! Thankfully the Google Chromecast Audio was one of the final touches to the nursery. It’s all come together and now we wait for him to make his appearance.
