The minute the calendar turns to February my heart gets full and I want to do a happy dance. It’s the month of Love. It’s a time to show your loved ones how much they mean to you. I know there are many people who think this is a Hallmark holiday. I don’t really care if it is or isn’t a Hallmark holiday, I still love it! Yeah, yeah we should be celebrating love all the time and I think for the most part we do, but Valentine’s Day (or month, in my case) is a time that I get to be overboard with excitement. Another small reason that I love this month is because of all the food that I get to give and receive.
Although I love the holiday, my fiance and I don’t usually go crazy with gifts for each other. This year I wanted to do something different for him. I found these Happy Valentine’s Day Popcorn Tins from the Popcorn Factory that was perfect. These 3-Flavor tins come filled with our three signature popcorn flavors: classic Butter, wondrous Cheese or alarmingly delicious Caramel.
The tin is HUGE, it’s 6.5 gallons. I know that we won’t be able to eat all of it but I know he’ll love it. My whole office smells of popcorn, I can’t wait to dig in! (Side note: Quinn if you’re reading this, Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you enjoy your gifts and yes, I did open the popcorn and try it.)
I know that everyone gets chocolates on Valentine’s Day but I don’t think the day is complete without them. I chose the 1 lb milk chocolate heart box from Fannie May.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to eat these without it being noticeable but I know they are going to be just as delicious as they look. If you don’t want to send the traditional box of chocolates, I would recommend these Chocolate covered strawberries. Don’t worry you STILL have time to order these and receive them by Valentine’s Day but if I were you, I wouldn’t wait too much longer!
If you know me, I’m a procrastinator and it’s a blessing that I have something for my significant other already. What is your go-to last minute Valentine’s Day gift?
