How We Monitor Our Home with Arlo and Best Buy

Blog· Tech

Since last year, I became overly obsessed with all the connected home products offered at Best Buy. There has been one thing that I’ve had my eye on for over a year now and my husband (finally) agreed we needed it – the Arlo Wire-Free HD Security Cameras.

How we Monitor Our HOme with Arlo and Best Buy

How we monitor our home with our Arlo cameras

We live in a nice neighborhood and I never worry about intruders so I wanted the cameras for much more than that. Since I travel often, I wanted a way to peak into my house when I’m gone. I absolutely love to travel but I miss home when I’m gone no matter if I’m traveling for 1 night or a week. Being able to peek into my home while I’m gone is comforting.

Although I work at home, there are many days that I am out and about either running errands or meeting with clients. Since I am a happy momma to four fur babies, I’m constantly worried about them. (Yes, I’m one of those people.) They are usually tearing up the house or frolicking outside with a toy. No matter what they are doing, it makes to feel at ease when I’m able to check in on them and make sure they haven’t snuck out of our fence.

While I am at home, I’m usually buried away in my office which is located at the front of the house. I love it because it has a big, beautiful window to see out front but since we have a lot of packages delivered to my house, I usually keep my blinds partially open so no body can see inside. Since we are always getting packages, either me or my husband have to answer the door to sign for it. We both hate answering the door not knowing who will be there, so the Arlo has eased the anxiety of knowing who is at our door. When the door bell rings, I instantly check my Arlo app and take a peek at who is there. Sometimes it’s a Fedex man waiting for us to answer while other times it’s a solicitor. Connected Home Arlo Cameras

Here’s what you get with the Arlo Smart Home Indoor/Outdoor Wireless High-Def IP Security Cameras

  • 2 wireless cameras – Each feature a CMOS image sensor to capture high-resolution video footage up to 720p (1280 x 720).
  • 12 IR LEDs – Provide night vision up to 25′, so you can record videos in dimly lit environments.
  • 130° field of view – Allows you to capture a wide area.
  • Motion-activated design – Automatically records once motion is detected, then sends you e-mail or app notifications.
  • Weatherproof construction – Lets you use the cameras both indoors and outdoors in temperatures from 14° to 122°.
  • 2 magnetic camera mounts and 2 mounting screws – Make it easy to install the cameras on a wall or other flat surface.
  • Downloadable apps – Enable you to view live video from your compatible Android, Apple® iOS, Amazon Kindle, Windows or Mac device.
  • Cloud storage – Lets you save recent activity to view at a later time.

My Arlo cameras have been a blessing. They’ve allowed me to not have so much anxiety about being away from my house. They were super easy to set up (and hang up), we were able to complete the whole set up process in about 10 minutes! If you’re looking for a way to protect your home, check out the Arlo Smart Home Indoor/Outdoor Wireless High-Def IP Security Cameras.

One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesse One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesses adapting and making things work! I was recently introduced to @savageburritos and I'm in love. Savage Burritos is the love child of Uncle Julios so it you like UJ, you'll love Savage. They are a delivery only service offering burritos and bowls from select Uncle Julio kitchens in DFW. We ordered a variety of items from burritos, bowls, queso and more. Every single item was bursting with flavor. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Burrito. 🔥 Don't forget to add on a Margarita pop - nothing beats alcohol and Mexican food delivered straight to your door!

I know this year has dragged on and on for many pe I know this year has dragged on and on for many people but it has flown by to me. I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️

Your child gets to fully immerse themselves into role playing any job they can imagine. From checking animals at the veterinarian, putting out fires as a firefighter, flying planes in an simulator, creating their own personal logo with Bic, or being a weatherman at WFAA - the options are endless! Kidzania activities are for ages 4 and up.

We felt very comfortable inside with their safety protocols. Temperatures were checked before entering. Everybody ages 4 and up must wear a mask. Hand sanitizer was readily available throughout the entire space. If you're looking for a fun outlet for your child to explore, check it out!
