Use My Private Driver for Your Next Vacation

Blog· Entertainment· Reviews

Traveling is one of my passions. I love discovering new places and learning from other cultures. I take A few trips every year to various locations whether it be for blogging conferences, to visit family or just to discover a new place.  No matter where I am going, I always have one burden to worry with – how am I going to get to the airport?

I know you’re thinking, why don’t you just drive, have someone take you or even take public transportation? Those are all great options but they all have their down fall. I’m not a fan of leaving my car at the airport (or off site parking) for days or even weeks on end. I don’t trust it and too many times my car has been keyed or vandalized while there.  Not to mention the crazy overnight fees that it costs.  As much as I know my friends and family LOVE taking me to the airport, let’s be honest, it’s a burden. (It’s sometimes hard to realize the world doesn’t revolve around me,  but my friends and family have jobs and families to tend to and the last thing they need is an annoying little sister nagging them to take me to the airport.)  The dart is always a great option but the downfall is travel time. The last time I took the dart to love field from my house it took almost an hour and a half. I love the idea of it, but the added hours to my travel makes for a long, long day.>

My Private Driver - Dallas Review

I decided to try a professional car service to see if it was as great as what it seemed. I hired My Private Driver to take me from my house to Love Field for my vacation to the East coast and also for a ride home after my trip so I wouldn’t have to worry about it during my trip.

I always schedule very early flights to wherever I may be going (another reason I don’t like to bug friends and family) and for this trip I needed to be picked up by 5:00 am.  I don’t know why I do this to myself since I have sleeping issues and 5 am is usually when I’m going to sleep. Anyways, 4:55 am rolls around and I get a phone call, My Private Driver was outside my house, ready to go. I’m in zombie mode, throw on my clothes and carry my bags outside making my driver wait probably 10 minutes because of my lack of planning. He greeted me with a smile and packed my bags.  Inside the luxury sedan were two cold bottles of water waiting for me and my fiancé.  The music was turned down low and we were off to Love Field. Even with my bad timing, he got us to the airport with time to spare. It was such an easy process and I loved the fact that I didn’t have to drive that early in the morning but instead was able to take a short cat nap before getting to the airport.

After being away from home for almost two weeks, I was happy to get home and back into my routine of things. After taking multiple connecting flights (from Orlando to Atlanta to Houston to Dallas), you can only imagine that our luggage was lost in the transition. Trust me, I had NO idea when booking the tickets that there were so many layovers. While waiting for our luggage, I received a phone call from My Private Driver, he was waiting outside to take us home. Once we realized that our bags didn’t make one of the connecting flights, I called him back to let him know what was going on and that would we would be out once we filed a bag claim. He told me he understood and to take our time. Little did we know, it took almost an extra 45 minutes to file a bag claim and get everything situated with Southwest. I felt so bad for our driver, I hate making people wait but I had no choice but to deal with my bag issue. I forgot to mention this is about 11pm at night, which makes things even worse.  We meet him outside the airport and he gets us home safely in a timely manner.

I’ll be using My Private Driver again for my travel needs. I loved their efficiency, professionalism and courtesy – especially since I know I wasn’t the easiest customer.

I've used tons of them, but I love the idea of this one for taking the stress out of being dropped off and picked up at the airport! And customer service is such a hard thing to come by, so it's great they were easy to work with!
