My First Experience with Salt Therapy at Salt Escape Plano

Blog· Entertainment· Reviews

Salt therapy is the therapeutic use of salt that helps heal your body. When I first heard about Salt therapy, I didn’t think it would work – especially after one visit. I wanted to try it regardless. I made an appointment at Salt Escape located in West Plano and anxiously waited for my appointed.

I didn’t know what to expect, all I knew is that I would be laying in a room with a bunch of salt. On the day of my appointment, I stepped inside Salt Escape and felt immediately relaxed. The shop is laid out like a spa, once you sign in you will be given some paperwork to fill out and you’re ready to go. Salt appointments start every hour on the hour.

What is Salt Therapy and how can my health benefit?

What is Salt Therapy?

You will be in the salt therapy room with other people. Each of you will have a zero gravity chair to sit back and relax in. Every appointment is 45 minutes long so you have plenty of time to take a snooze or catch up on your favorite gossip magazine. The lights are dimmed and the salt is pushed into the room. Salt rooms are covered ceiling to floor in a salt application and utilize a halogenerator to crush pharmaceutical grade salt into small particles for inhalation to create the desired microclimate. After the halogenerator has been going for about 10 minutes you can start to taste the salt but the room is completely clear. You simply sit in the halochamber and inhale microscopic particles of salt. Easy, breezy!

What are the benefits of Salt Therapy?

Salt Therapy can be used for many improvements to your body. Some common symptoms that can be improved by Salt Therapy are   Allergies, Asthma, Bronchitis, Cold/Flu, Cystic Fibrosis, Dermatitis, Ear Infection, Eczema, Emphysema, Psoriasis, Rhinitis and Sinusitis. 45 minutes in the salt room is equivalent to you spending three days at the beach.

I highly recommend giving it a try. After my session, I felt completely relaxed and slept like a baby (which is a BIG thing, because I never sleep). I’m looking forward to giving it another try. Who wants to join me for a session?

My Salt Therapy session was at Salt Escape located off of the Dallas North Tollway and Park in West Plano. A single session of Salt Therapy costs $45 or you can become a member and get each session cheaper.  Give it a try and let me know what you think.

I may need to give this a try with the man. We both have horrible allergies and I don’t know the last time I had a decent night’s sleep.

How cool. Glad you gave that a try! I own 3 large Himalayan salt lamps and I leave the bulbs turned on pretty much 24/7 and my husband and I have noticed a difference in sleep, allergies, and general mood. I believe this stuff works.

I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️
