Twisted Root Burger Company has announced that they will be now providing gluten-free bread and burgers to their customers throughout its seven DFW locations. The restaurants will feature gluten-free bread from area bakery, The Local Oven, and will prepare gluten-free meats to ensure that diners with gluten-sensitivities can enjoy Twisted Root’s award-winning burgers, salads and more.
Gluten sensitivities – whether celiac disease, wheat allergies or gluten intolerance – are believed to affect about 10 percent of the population. Associated dietary restrictions often make it difficult for diners to eat at restaurants, which is why Twisted Root is offering gluten-free items and clearly specifying on the menu which items do not contain gluten. For a gluten-free meal, customers should simply ask for a gluten-free bun, or if they’d like to cut out the bun altogether, they can enjoy fresh gluten-free meats alone or on top of salads.
“With celiac disease and gluten intolerance a growing concern among the dining public, we wanted to give our customers several gluten-free options at all our Twisted Root stores,” said Proprietor Jason Boso. “We’re excited to announce gluten free bread and burger options that allow gluten-intolerant diners to eat what they want without sacrificing flavor.”
