I have had so much fun zooming around Dallas in the Ford Fiesta ST. Little did I know that I would be driving around a stick shift for the week, which made my experience ever more awesome. I haven’t driven a stick shift in many years so it was fun to push my limits and see what the Fiesta could do.
The Fiesta starts at $20,945 which is extremely reasonable. I was car shopping a few months ago and was completely shocked at car prices, when did everything sky rocket? It seemed that I couldn’t find a decent car without paying top dollar until I test drove the Ford Fiesta.
Inside the Fiesta ST is extremely sporty with details every where you look. The sport seats are the perfect fit and make driving around town even more fun. I don’t know if it’s a good thing or bad thing that I wanted to race everyone I was next to while driving the Fiesta.
Fiesta gets the most out of every corner, thanks to the technical precision of its Ford-tuned suspension. Taking on straightaways is a smooth affair, too, when you combine electric power-assisted steering with the proprietary Ford invention, active nibble control. Covert aerodynamic design and critical technology such as a PowerShift six-speed automatic and 1.6L Ti-VCT Duratec I-4 engine with twin-independent variable cam timing make it a responsive and fuel-responsible driving experience.
The safety features in the 2016 Fiesta give you the peace of mind to enjoy the quick and nimble performance that makes this car so much fun to drive. The Fiesta provides seven standard airbags and includes side-curtain airbags. There’s even an airbag at the driver’s knees. Also, strength surrounds you in the form of a rigid safety cage.
When’s the last time you took a spin with a stick shift? I know for sure I won’t be waiting years to drive one again!
