Christmas in Dallas is always so fun because of the large amount of events that take place. Each year, I try to do as many events as possible, as well as add new events to my list. Texas is all about the “Go Big or Go Home” mentality and the events live up to the expectations. I’ve listed some of my favorite things to do during the Holiday Season each year.

Lone Star Christmas
November 13, 2014 – January 3, 2015
We like to do things BIG in Texas and The Gaylord Texan doesn’t skip a beat. The entire hotel is decorated beautifully and is full of events for the whole family. Don’t miss out on ICE! featuring Frosty the Snowman. Tickets sell out in advance so purchase tickets before you go to ensure you will be able to see the exhibit.
12 Days of Christmas
November 22 – January 4, 2015
The Dallas Arboretum has added a new addition to their beautiful landscape this year. The 12 Days of Christmas are set up in 25 foot Victorian gazebos filled with costume characters and whimsical animals. These extravagantly decorated gazebos span through a .75 mile walk. I would suggest going during the day rather than the night so you can get the full experience of the Arboretum.

Mistletoes and the Christmas Tree at Dallas Galleria

Dallas boasts the largest indoor Christmas tree in America, right in the center of the Galleria’s indoor skate rink. Misletoes is their ice skating Santa that does back flips and has fireworks shoot out of his skates. It’s definitely a sight to see. If anything head to the mall and snap a picture with the beautiful Christmas Tree.

Sparkle! Christmas at the Anatole!

Great event for the whole family! There is an ice skating rink, inflatables, pie eating contest, food trucks and more. Your kids won’t want to leave the Christmas Carol Slide that has Santa at the top waiting for them! It’s inside so perfect for those cold days. Read my Sparkle at the Anatole review.

A Christmas Carol
November 25 – December 27, 2014
‘Tis the season to be jolly, when last season’s sold-out, family-favorite, holiday production of A Christmas Carol returns to the Wyly Theatre. In this delightfully re-imagined take on Dickens’ enduring classic, featuring Chamblee Ferguson as Ebenezer Scrooge, the audience is surrounded by the actors, with magical ghosts flying above, scary ghosts bursting out of the floor, and snow falling on everyone. Full of traditional Christmas hymns and songs in fresh, toe-tapping musical arrangements, joyful bursts of choreography, and eye-popping special effects, A Christmas Carol is Dallas’ newest “must-see” holiday tradition.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

The most famous reindeer of all reindeer lands on-stage in Dallas this Christmas as Wishing Star Productions brings the screen-classic, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, to life for your whole family to enjoy. Rudolph is joined by his friends Hermey the Elf and Yukon Cornelius to help Santa save Christmas.
