With temps leveling out in the high 70’s, this time of year is perfect to visit any of these fall festivals near Dallas. Get out and enjoy these great community events. Enjoy the music, take in the fall scenery at the Arboretum, eat some delicious food, and make some memories with your family and friends.
Autumn at the Arboretum: This fall festival lasts all the way through the end of November. There is so much to see you will not want to miss out. Pumpkins and gourds are in abundance, 75,000+ to be exact. The Arboretum has even built a house out of pumpkins. Wind your way through their hay bale maze and check out Cinderella’s carriage. There are also a lot of different events scheduled at the Arboretum. You can learn how to make a Thanksgiving centerpiece at the Pick of the Patch demonstration while the kids paint a pumpkin at the pumpkin painting station. Make reservations to enjoy a 3 course, seasonal tea at the DeGolyer Tea Room. Or enjoy lunch at the Oktoberfest Garten at Cafe on the Green where they are serving a traditional German menu until Thanksgiving. There is so much to do at the Arboretum. Enjoy live music, feed the fish, go on a free garden tour, or visit during Golden Hours where amateur photographers and artists can take advantage of the gorgeous grounds at the Arboretum. There are also several discounts listed on their website that will save you a few dollars.
Untapped Dallas: On Saturday, November 7, 2015 you can visit an amazing craft beer and music festival. There will be over 100 breweries with 400 different types of beer for you to enjoy. In addition to the suds that will be flowing, there is a line up of incredible bands that will play over 3 stages including Dr. Dog, Elle King, Lights, Cloud Nothings, and so many more. Depending on the type of ticket you purchase your visit to this festival can include a variety of samples and even early access to the event. There will also be a ton of magnificent things to eat including Easy Slider (home of the best mini-burgers), Samson’s Gourmet Hot Dogs, and even a sweet treat from Glazed Donut Works.
Festival at the Switchyard: Located about 20 miles out of Dallas in downtown Carrollton, there is a festival that takes place on November 7th that is packed full of live music, food, and entertainment for kids. In preparation of 3 Doors Down’s performance in the evening, there is a large line up of talented bands that are scheduled to start performing at 11 am. In addition, there is also a huge entertainment line-up for the kids including Dallas Top Dazzlers and competitive jump roping.
32nd Annual Beaujolais & Beyond Wine Festival: Enjoy tasting a variety of French and American wines at this fall festival. On November 20th, 2015 at the Irving Convention Center, this festival will take place in the evening. Your ticket includes a commemorative wine glass with food and wine tasting. The gourmet food that will be served is from some of the trendiest restaurants including Bridge Bistro and La Madeleine. This fall festival is the perfect opportunity to find your new favorite wine to serve at your upcoming Holiday events.
