With Pinterest just a few clicks away, DIY projects have blown up over the past couple of years and I have no doubt that this year will be bigger than ever. Stores like Michaels is making it easy for both the average joe and expert to make craft projects come to reality.
Michaels has opened a new and improved store in Southlake that you don’t want to miss. I attended a blogger preview where we made a place mat that required no sewing! It was so simple and was a perfect example that you don’t have to be a skilled crafter to dive in and enjoy doing projects for your home.
Michaels has made a few big changes to their stores that I’m super excited about. Their customers talked and they listened! They’ve improved the layout making it easier to find items that you’re looking for! Instead of walking around aimlessly for that one product that you need, it will now be a breeze to find with better signage, colors and placement. Take note of the new store look and check out the new Make Market line for DIY project and home décor ideas – all made with simple, on-trend surfaces and textures like chalk, denim, galvanized, burlap and cork.
I highly suggest you head to Southlake this Sunday, February 8th. Grand opening celebrations begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a performance by the Carrol Dragon Cheer Squad at 9:45 a.m., followed by hourly prize giveaways and a DJ from 3-5p.m. Get there early – the first 100 in line receive mystery gift cards of $10-$100!
The Southlake Michaels is located at 1051 E. Southlake Boulevard, Southlake, TX. See you there!
