Save the Date: No Tie Dinner and Dessert Party on April 6th

Blog· Charity· Entertainment· Events

No Tie Dinner and Dessert PartyThe Frontiers of Flight Museum will transform into the 60’s era when bouffant hairdos, afros, mini-skirts and go-go boots were required to shake your groove thing on the dance floor. AIDS Services of Dallas will be partying for a purpose at their Eighth Annual No Tie Dinner and Dessert Party, themed “Desserts a Go-Go,” on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. No Tie is the largest fundraiser for AIDS Services of Dallas which provides housing and supportive services for low-income and formerly homeless men, women, children, and families living with HIV/AIDS.

Wi-th an estimated 2,000 patrons and a high-profile cast leading the event — Co-Chairs Dennis Kershner and David Nelson, Development Ambassador D’Andra Simmons, and “America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru,” Honorary Chair Steve Kemble – No Tie is no square event. It will be shag-tastic with DJ Mark Ridlen managing the groove on the dance floor, live and silent auction, Whiskey a Go-Go cocktails, and guilty-pleasure desserts galore from some of Dallas’ finest restaurants and caterers including Hattie’s, Frosted Art Bakery, Tart Bakery, Komali Restaurant, Two Sisters Catering and many, many more. The executive committee encourages all to dress 60’s fashion. Go-go boots welcome; ties are not. The dessert soiree follows a series of private dinners.

The No Tie Dinner & Dessert Party, the largest fundraiser for AIDS Services of Dallas, will be held on Saturday, April 6th 2013 beginning at 7pm at The Frontiers of Flight Museum (6911 Lemmon Avenue, Dallas, TX 75209).  Opportunities are currently available for sponsorship, dinner hosts, and volunteers. Tickets are $50 and available to purchase in advance at www.notiedinner.org. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/NoTieDinnerandDessertParty or call ASD at (214) 941-4411 ext. 510.

One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesse One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesses adapting and making things work! I was recently introduced to @savageburritos and I'm in love. Savage Burritos is the love child of Uncle Julios so it you like UJ, you'll love Savage. They are a delivery only service offering burritos and bowls from select Uncle Julio kitchens in DFW. We ordered a variety of items from burritos, bowls, queso and more. Every single item was bursting with flavor. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Burrito. 🔥 Don't forget to add on a Margarita pop - nothing beats alcohol and Mexican food delivered straight to your door!

Order directly from their site your from your favorite delivery service!
I know this year has dragged on and on for many pe I know this year has dragged on and on for many people but it has flown by to me. I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️

This weekend we ventured to @kidzaniausa, a city r This weekend we ventured to @kidzaniausa, a city ran completely by kids. Your child gets to fully immerse themselves into role playing any job they can imagine. From checking animals at the veterinarian, putting out fires as a firefighter, flying planes in an simulator, creating their own personal logo with Bic, or being a weatherman at WFAA - the options are endless! Kidzania activities are for ages 4 and up.

We felt very comfortable inside with their safety protocols. Temperatures were checked before entering. Everybody ages 4 and up must wear a mask. Hand sanitizer was readily available throughout the entire space. If you're looking for a fun outlet for your child to explore, check it out!
