The Frontiers of Flight Museum will transform into the 60’s era when bouffant hairdos, afros, mini-skirts and go-go boots were required to shake your groove thing on the dance floor. AIDS Services of Dallas will be partying for a purpose at their Eighth Annual No Tie Dinner and Dessert Party, themed “Desserts a Go-Go,” on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. No Tie is the largest fundraiser for AIDS Services of Dallas which provides housing and supportive services for low-income and formerly homeless men, women, children, and families living with HIV/AIDS.
Wi-th an estimated 2,000 patrons and a high-profile cast leading the event — Co-Chairs Dennis Kershner and David Nelson, Development Ambassador D’Andra Simmons, and “America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru,” Honorary Chair Steve Kemble – No Tie is no square event. It will be shag-tastic with DJ Mark Ridlen managing the groove on the dance floor, live and silent auction, Whiskey a Go-Go cocktails, and guilty-pleasure desserts galore from some of Dallas’ finest restaurants and caterers including Hattie’s, Frosted Art Bakery, Tart Bakery, Komali Restaurant, Two Sisters Catering and many, many more. The executive committee encourages all to dress 60’s fashion. Go-go boots welcome; ties are not. The dessert soiree follows a series of private dinners.
The No Tie Dinner & Dessert Party, the largest fundraiser for AIDS Services of Dallas, will be held on Saturday, April 6th 2013 beginning at 7pm at The Frontiers of Flight Museum (6911 Lemmon Avenue, Dallas, TX 75209).
