Halloween is right around the corner! To help celebrate this incredible time of year we have compiled a list of things to do for Halloween near Dallas. Get your groove on at a concert, be part of a murder mystery dinner, or get your spine tingling chills and thrills at Six Flags.
Halloween Organ Spooktacular: Enjoy live, spooky, and spectacular music at the Myerson. Come early to participate in a costume contest. The music starts at 11 am and the show will last only an hour. This is a great way to get in the mood for Halloween night!
Green Elephant: There is a lot going on at the Green Elephant this Halloween. Along with the best costume contest in town, you will enjoy live music, light shows, and drink specials.
Six Flags Fright Fest: During the day there are several activities that are suited for families and younger children. Take the kids trick-or-treating in Looney Tunes Spooky Town, join in the fun at the Spooktacular Street Party where all of the zombies and ghouls come together to dance, or you can become a star while singing Karaoke as a vampire. At night… the freaks come out and you can really get your spook on. Younger children might find this part of Fright Fest too scary, so it is best to let them skip out on this part that starts at 7 p.m every night in October. Dance the night away at the Zombie A-Rock-Alypse and visit several Horrifying Haunts throughout the park including Boomtown Terror, Freaktown Side Show, and Piggy’s Blood Shed.
Rocky Horror Picture Show: In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Rocky Horror Picture Show, Los Bastardos is performing this famous show. As part of the audience, be ready to participate in the show. You can also dress up and compete in their costume contest.
Lights! Camera! Murder! Mystery Wine Dinner: Devour a 4 course meal, paired with the perfect wine, dressed up as your favorite dead celebrity on Halloween night. The Messina Hof Grapevine Winery is hosting a night of murder and mystery at the Wallis Hotel. This murder mystery show is a very entertaining way to enjoy Halloween dinner.
Victorian Murders and Mayhem Tours: Learn about the infamous Victorian murders at the Farmers Branch Historical Park. These candlelight tours are based on stories from Edgar Allan Poe and also include real events that happened during the Victorian era. These tours are for folks 16 and over.
Gas Monkey Bar & Grill: Halloween has taken over the weekend this year. Enjoy two concerts at Gas Monkey this year. Ghoultown (which is free!) will play the night of October 30th. Then, Halloween night turns into Thriller Night at the Who’s Bad Concert.
