Need a Photographer? Check out Picture Parties!

Blog· Entertainment· Tech

Having professional pictures taken of me and my husband has always been a priority ever since we got married. No matter how many candid photos we take of each other or have friends take of us, it’s always nice to have professional pictures to look back on. We get pictures taken every year and at any big milestones in our life such as our engagement, wedding and now of the newest member of our family.

One problem we run into time and time again is finding the perfect photographer since all of these milestones are completely different. Many times a photographer who specializes in engagement photos doesn’t specialize in newborn photography. I’ve asked online a few times for suggestions of photographers from friends but I hate picking and choosing random photographers without knowing their background.

We welcomed our baby boy into the world in March and I knew instantly that I wanted newborn pictures of him. Don’t get me wrong, I have taken about one thousand pictures of him myself but I wanted professional photos that I could display in my house and more importantly a picture of my husband and myself with the baby.

Instead of doing the whole run around of trying to find a photographer and asking for recommendations, I used Picture Parties and had an amazing experience. In a nutshell, Picture Parties is a simple way to get a group of friends together and offer them all mini photography sessions with one photographer. It’s completely free to have the party, the only thing you pay for is the pictures that you choose from the session. This is ideal to have your family over or a group of friends to all come and get their picture taken without any obligation to purchase. I personally always hated having to pay a large fee up front to photographers before ever seeing any of the pictures.

Picture Parties offers all sorts of mini-sessions from professional headshots, family portraits, high school senior pictures, daycares, youth sports, family reunions and more. Each type of event is slightly different, but they all follow the same general process, allowing customers to get their pictures taken in a fun and comfortable environment of their choosing.

We had a session with Picture Parties outdoors in Frisco and the pictures turned out amazing. There wasn’t one picture that was bad. The session was about 20 minutes, not too long but not too short. It’s the perfect amount of time that kids can stay focused without getting too bored or distracted. The photographer that took our photos specialized in newborns which was perfect. She had lots of great props and ideas for the shoot so I didn’t have to worry about a thing.

Here is a glimpse at our pictures from Picture Parties.

The link to our private gallery of photos to choose from arrived less than a week from our photo shoot. I love that I didn’t have to wait long especially with our newborn photos since our little one is changing so much each day.  We chose about 20 pictures to buy that will be perfect for gifts for the grandparents and to get framed for our house. The whole process was extremely seamless.

If you’re looking to get pictures done in the near future, check out Picture Parties. If you decide to host a party, you will receive 3 free high resolution digital images if you have five or more families attend your party!

One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesse One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesses adapting and making things work! I was recently introduced to @savageburritos and I'm in love. Savage Burritos is the love child of Uncle Julios so it you like UJ, you'll love Savage. They are a delivery only service offering burritos and bowls from select Uncle Julio kitchens in DFW. We ordered a variety of items from burritos, bowls, queso and more. Every single item was bursting with flavor. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Burrito. 🔥 Don't forget to add on a Margarita pop - nothing beats alcohol and Mexican food delivered straight to your door!

I know this year has dragged on and on for many pe I know this year has dragged on and on for many people but it has flown by to me. I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️

We felt very comfortable inside with their safety protocols. Temperatures were checked before entering. Everybody ages 4 and up must wear a mask. Hand sanitizer was readily available throughout the entire space. If you're looking for a fun outlet for your child to explore, check it out!
