How many times have you driven around your town and thought, “When did that get there?” or “Why have I never tried that spot?” It happens more often than not and we miss out on so many great establishments in our own town because we get so used to running in the same circles.
I wanted to introduce to you a newer establishment in the Dallas metroplex, Farmers Branch Aquatic Center.
I should have known this but it was news to me that you don’t have to be a resident of Farmers Branch to use their facilities. So no matter what city you live in, you have full access to the Aquatic Center which is opened year round.
The Margaret Young Natatorium is free for kids under 2 years old. Anyone older than 3 years old is $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents. The indoor pool is the perfect place to take your kids and their friends during the Fall and Winter months when it’s too cold to play outside. The main pool is 4 lanes and 25 yards long with depth ranging from 4 ft 6 in to 8 ft.
The natatorium also offers a therapy pool that is approximately 767 square feet with depth ranging from 3 feet 8 inches to 4 feet 5 inches.
The Farmers Branch Aquatic Center isn’t just for kids, they also offer swimming classes and water aerobics. It’s the perfect place to get a great work out in without paying big membership fees.
The Farmers Branch Aquatic Center is the perfect place to throw a birthday party without breaking the bank. There is a 480 square foot indoor party room that is available for rent, year round. The party room includes tables and chairs for guests. I love that the room is in viewing distance from the pool so you can still look over the pool while enjoying snacks and drinks. Hosts of the party may bring in food and drinks of their own or have the party catered.
