St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner!
I received a bottle of Absolut Texas, the first state inspired Vodka and knew immediately that I had to make a drink for St. Patrick’s Day with it. The Absolut Vodka is flavored with Cucumber and Serrano Chili flavors which I think matches Texas perfectly. It’s a really smooth vodka that has a slight kick to it but it’s not over powering.
The bottle was designed by San Antonio-based artist Cruz Ortiz and is a modern spin on iconic Texas imagery including a “cosmic caballero” cowboy boot against a stylized Texas landscape and his own take on the Texas Star. He did a great job grasping what Texas is all about.
The first thing I did after getting the bottle? Took a big swig! It was incredibly smooth and had so much flavor that I didn’t want to add much to it!
The Lazy Leprechaun Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Absolut Texas Vodka
- 2 drops green dye
- 1 can of Perrier
- ice
Directions:
- Shake the Absolut Texas Vodka, green dye and Ice in a cocktail shaker. Add the Perrier and strain the drink into a cocktail glass.
I’m all about making life easy and this drink will be a perfect addition on St. Patrick’s Day since there isn’t much to it! It can be made in less than a minute and tastes amazing. It’s a crowd pleaser for sure!
