After being pregnant for 9 months and exclusively breastfeeding for the past 3 months, I couldn’t wait to have my first sip of alcohol again. My husband and I are casual drinkers with an occasional night out on the town. I like all types of alcohol but my husband is more of a beer guy but not just any beer – craft beer. Since I haven’t been able to enjoy a nice cold stiff drink for the past year, we wanted to stock our cabinets with all of our favorites since I finally at a point where I’m able to drink.
It was fate that Total Wine & More® opened their newest Dallas location in Allen. I grew up and graduated in Allen so it’s amazing to see the city expand and offer stores like Total Wine. Because I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding, it’s been extremely difficult to leave little man since he is feeding every two hours. The past few months, he has been by my side every step of the way, that was until we decided to tour the new Total Wine and More. Yep, the first time me and my husband left our baby is to venture through a spirit store.
Here’s a glimpse into your new favorite store.
Each store carries approximately 8000 different types of wine, 3000 spirits and 2500 kinds of beer. Total Wine is like no other store you’ve visited. I’ve visited plenty of liquor stores in my day but Total Wine offers something more. Upon entering, the first thing that I noticed was that the store was very nice inside, unlike many other spirit stores. I couldn’t believe the extensive amount of wine available. We’re talking everything from three dollars to hundreds of dollars for a bottle of wine. There is something for everybody no matter your budget.
After walking through the crazy amount of wines, we landed on the section I was most excited for – the liquor. I found the biggest bottle possible and was ready to have a few drinks. Vodka goes with everything, right?
As we ventured a little further around the store, my husband found what he had been looking for – all the beer you could imagine. He was in beer heaven since Total Wine carries a very large selection of craft beer. You can always find our refrigerator stocked with a large selection of beers. My husband prefers to try our local beers before anything else.
I loved that Total Wine and More had tons of great gifts from cute decorated wine glasses to Star Wars ice molds. Even if you aren’t a big drinker the store is lots of fun to walk through and browse at all the goodies. If you get a chance, stop by the Allen store located at 190 East Stacy Road, Allen TX 75013.
