When I found out I was pregnant with my son a few years ago there weren’t many things on my list that I was particular about buying. I was a first time mom and while many people go on Pinterest and make all the boards and fill their planners with lists, I was the opposite. I blame it on my type b personality but I knew it would all eventually come together.
I’ve never been one to be obsessed with designers or higher end products. I’m not easily impressed and I love a good deal so buying something with a higher price point isn’t usually on my radar. Although looking back, I’ve always had expensive designer purses. I believe it’s because it’s something that you use daily and it’s extremely important. I keep my life in my purse and it’s always with me so it’s an exception to the rule.

When I was first looking at diaper bags, I was extremely unimpressed with all the choices. I’m not a fan of the plastic looking bags although I understand their great for easy cleanups but not my style. The idea of carrying a purse AND a diaper bag sounded like a horrible idea. Ideally, if I could find a diaper bag that looked like a purse but still had all the functions to carry baby necessities, I would be happy.
Lo and behold, one day on Facebook as I was mindlessly scrolling I came across Lily Jade. This company had everything I have ever wanted in a purse and a diaper bag. Their bags are made of genuine leather and have everything needed for baby and momma. I didn’t want to jump the gun and purchase it without doing a bit of research. To be honest, I’m usually the opposite I am a do now, think later type of person but since I knew this bag would be my sidekick for the next year or two I wanted to learn more.
After digging through their site and talking to a few pregnant friends, I chose the Madeleine Multi-functional Diaper Bag in a gorgeous brown leather. This bag could be carried on your shoulder or a backpack. I had no idea how important having a diaper bag backpack was until I was attempting to carry all the things with Bryce. Being able to carry my bag on my back and have two hands free without juggling a purse was a game changer. Ever since I bought the Madeleine in 2017, I haven’t used another diaper bag. The bag has completely held up through all the craziness of a newborn, infant, and now the toddler stages. It has been my best baby purchase and trust me, I’ve bought a lot of baby items.
While that bag has lasted me much longer than I ever expected. It’s time to upgrade, not because this bag is no longer working but we have some exciting news – we’re expecting another sweet baby in April of next year.

We’re over the moon and can not wait but with two kids under 3, I know there will be a lot of obstacles. I’m thinking ahead this time and secured myself a new Lily Jade bag, meet Meggan.

This multi-functional bag is a bit bigger than my last one which I’m excited about. Usually with large bags, things tend to get lost or forgotten but Lily Jade provides a gorgeous 12 pocket organizer that is removable and machine washable and changing pad to help keep things organized. I also love that you can purchase additional organization bags that match the organizer. Once I get a little closer the baby’s arrival, I’ll be putting together the diaper bag for two and possibly buying more storage depending on my needs.
If you’re looking a great all around bag, don’t overlook Lily Jade. It’s been a savior to me in keeping everything together while trying to navigate the craziness of Motherhood.
Here’s to the next chapter!
