I participated in an Ambassador Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Lay’s. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating.
When I’m not at my computer, I’m either in my kitchen cooking up a grand meal or outside frolicking in my yard. The kitchen and my yard are my two go-to spaces that I can relax and relieve stress without thinking once about work or life. A few weeks ago I let you in on one of my favorite recipes and since I enjoyed it so much, I’m going to share a few more.
I know that Starbucks isn’t necessarily a “food” but coffee is definitely on the top of my list to keep me running through the day. It’s a must have. I wrote about 5 DIY Holiday Drinks that are amazing and will help you save a few bucks by making it your self rather than paying $5 a drink.
Homemade Cauliflower Soup is on the top of the list for one of my favorite items to make. It’s super healthy for you but has so much flavor at the same time. Cauliflower Soup makes either a great meal when you want to eat a lite meal or it makes a great addition to any meal as an appetizer or side dish. Did I mention that it is only 110 calories per serving? (Much different than the Starbucks drinks!)
If I could, I would have only added mexican dishes because it’s my favorite food EVER, but instead I only added one mexican item which is the best hot salsa around. I don’t want to pat my own back, but my 5 minute hot salsa recipe is to die for. It’s super simple and I love that you can make it in no time! I usually make lots so I can eat throughout the week.
My last but not least food that I’ve added is Kenny’s Italian Kitchen Midnight Meatballs. These meatballs are so good and I love that they can be made ahead of time. If I’m in a hurry or I know that I’m going to have a busy day, I’ll usually throw a few meatballs in the crock pot and let them cook all day long.
You might have noticed that each of my recipes is made from scratch. I love experimenting in the kitchen and making an ordinary recipe my own by adding ingredients and tweaking the measurements. While doing this, I knew that I would be awesome at making my own flavor of chips at Lay’s “Do Us a Flavor” contest. To enter the contest, you submit a flavor name, up to three ingredients, chip style (Lay’s Original, Wavy, and/or Kettle Cooked), and a brief description for the flavor and be entered to win $1 million dollars!
I think that my hot salsa recipe would be the only flavor out of my four favorite recipes that would work for the Lay’s contest. Do you have a great idea for a chip flavor? Submit it today. Contest submissions must be in by April 5th. See rules for all the details.
What flavor will you be submitting?
